ABOUT ME

I passed my interpreter and translator examinations in 1988 and was sworn in as translator by the Rotterdam District Court in 1988.  In 2009 I was sworn in as interpreter, by the Rotterdam District Court, and I am registered as a C-1 interpreter in the official Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators under number 235.

In 2010 I passed the SIGV examinations for Court Interpreter – criminal cases, and in 2012 I passed the SIGV examinations for legal translators – criminal cases. After that I followed various trainings and courses including courses for notarial interpretation and translation, family law, aliens law, mental health, policing processes, etc. It is mandatory to follow training and refresher courses, and I really enjoy doing that!

So, by now, I have ample experience in all kinds of interpretation settings. I am a member of the NGTV (Dutch association of Translators and Interpreters), the Association SIGV-alumni (institute for court interpreters) and the SVVT (foundation for female translators and interpreters).
